Senior Moments (or I'm not a Curmodgeon, but These Things Bother Me!)

1) I'm ready to join the OWS movement because I'm tired of sitting here doing nothing except complain about how bad things are. At least it's action. I saw a sign that said, "It's not broken, it's fixed!" So I want to help change this fixed system.
2) The Trayvon Martin story shows that this country has not faced its racial issues. We pay our black athletes and entertainers huge sums of money and we have a president who is African American. But that's not nearly enough. It's the kid in the hoodie, the unemployed guys on the corner, the single mom who lost her job while trying to feed her kids, and the Lation trying to have a better life who need jobs, not handouts.
3) And one more thing... The media is part of the systemic problem. Besides the Trayvon Martin story, which should be reported, the other two big stories have been the frenzy over the Powerball lottery and the movie Hunger Games. Winning the lottery has become the American Dream and that movie bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars is about killing kids! Is our country sick?
